This blogs encompasses my daily life. I seek to find different perspectives to obtain eclectic images.

I was shuffling through my camera settings when I found the most peculiar effect. The setting allowed up to 3 colors to be selected. Then a range of each hue could be set. Therefore, I could photograph the colors of brown, blue, and green while leaving the rest of the image in black and white. Also, if I chose to photograph something red, I could photograph the hues closest to red (such as pink) by simply adjusting another setting.
I photographed these flowers in Washington state using this effect. I was rather pleased with the outcome.
For those with a Nikon D5100:
Set the dial for 'Effects'
Scroll to 'Selective Color'
Using the arrow keys, select a color in the viewfinder
Adjust the color as needed
